12-acre railway land retrieved

LAHORE, Feb 7: The Pakistan Railways police have got more than 12 acres land vacated from encroachers from Feb 1 to 6.

According to a spokesman, the market value of the retrieved commercial, agricultural and residential land in Sukkur, Multan, Lahore and Karachi is said to be in millions.

Five acres and seven kanals land was retrieved in Karachi, two acres and one kanal in Sukkur, two acres and two kanals in Rawalpindi divisions, two kanals in Multan, two kanals and nine marlas in Quetta, four kanals and eight marlas in Workshops while two kanals and 15 marlas in Lahore divisions.

On a directive of PR Police Inspector General Syed Ibne Husain, a campaign has been launched to remove encroachments from the railway land all over the country.
