Flying classroom – eliminating distances by reaching out to the underprivileged students through a bus service.
Thespianz Foundation is a non-governmental organisation working to eliminate illiteracy from the underprivileged areas of Karachi. In March 2011, Thespianz Foundation inaugurated its first free school in Akhter colony, located in Karachi.
Since then, the NGO has been working towards creating an illiteracy-free society, where education is not restricted to a rich few. The main ideology is to reach out to the inaccessible refugee children who are scattered all across the city and educate them with an aim to create a better society.
“The flying classroom” remains one of the most distinctive initiatives of Thespian Foundation which was launched in collaboration with German Culture Center – Goethe Institut-Pakistan, in the latter half of 2011. — Photos by Faizan Mujeeb/ text by Faiza Mirza/Dawn.com

I agree with Khan, this is a good idea but more improvements needed in Bus to make real time class room situation. Overall, great job.

What a heart warming story. Excellent job Goethe Institut-Pakistan. By mobilizing all resources for education we all will have a bright future
Its a very good try. Please dont give up. Keep it up.
In one of the pictures, the students in the bus are standing to see the black board therefore, I think that the seats in the pictured bus are too bulky and high and need replacement with some specially desined seats. Otherwise, well done Goethe Institut-Pakistan !
