SWABI, Feb 10: Six police officials, including a lady constable, were injured when unidentified attackers hurled two hand grenades at a police van at Shewa Adda after the public meeting of PTI chairman Imran Khan here on Friday.

Sources said that the officials were returning to the police lines after doing security duty at the rally when their van was attacked. They said that the attackers hurled two hand grenades at the police van that left six personnel, including a lady constable, injured. The injured officials were taken to a local hospital.

Soon after the incident, the police cordoned off the area and started search for the attackers. PTI sources said that the party leaders had left the area when the attack occurred. — Correspondent
