LAHORE, Feb 10: The New Auriga also houses the head office of Wateen Telecom, Pakistan’s leading converged communications service provider. Soon after the fire, Wateen CEO Naeem Zamindar and other members of the management rushed to the scene.

The CEO told the media that Wateen Telecom had in place several network redundancies that automatically kick-in in case of an emergency. Moreover, the company had alternate arrangements for the customer care helpline.

He said the data and enterprise customers would not be affected as data warehousing and networking facilities were located elsewhere.

Therefore, the customers would not suffer loss of quality and the services would continue as normal.

He said the Abu Dhabi Group had assured that all the required support would be made available, including leveraging existing infrastructure facilities of the group companies.
