KARACHI, Feb 14: The ninth UBL Omni Karachi United Football League (KUFL) resumed after a rather lengthy break with Shahzad Mohammadan’s (Malir) 7-0 win over Islah Baloch (Old Golimar) at the Korangi Baloch Stadium here.

The Group ‘A’ fixture saw Shahzad Mohammadan completely dominating Islah Baloch from the start as they raced to their third win to collect 10 points while Islah Baloch remain with seven points from six games.

Mohammad Irani’s seventh-minute corner kick beat everyone and found the net to give Shahzad Mohammadan the lead.

Mohammad Adil then scored twice (12th and 16th mins) to take Shahzad Mohammadan 3-0 up.

Substitute striker Mohammad Sohail then scored 30 seconds into the second half to make it 4-0.

Islah Baloch tried to respond but Shahzad Mohammadan’s goalkeeper Naveed Baloch thwarted all efforts from Mohsin Iqbal, Adil Mohammad and Sagheer Ghulam.

Iqbal Baloch made it 5-0 from Akhtar Baloch’s pass in the 79th minute, after which substitute Mohammad Younas scored twice (81st and 83rd mins) in quick succession to finish the game 7-0 in favour of Shahzad Mohammadan.

The match was supervised by referees Shaukat Ali, Abdul Malik and Babar Khan with Abdul Karim as the match commissioner. —Sports Reporter
