LAHORE, Feb 14: Barrister Aitzaz Ahsan says there is no threat to the parliament and its members will emerge successful.
He was talking to newsmen after filing his nomination papers for a Senate seat here on Tuesday.
He said the judiciary was a respectable institution and in democracy the parliament had supremacy.
He said he was making an effort that there should be no confrontation among the institutions.
Mr Ahsan said all institutions should work under their ambit described in the Constitution.
Former law minister Babar Awan, who also filed his papers, said President Zardari and the government would complete their terms.
He said the passage of 20th Amendment would show that the political parties had a capacity to evolve a consensus.
