DERA BUGTI: Militants ambushed a Frontier Constabulary (FC) convoy in the Dera Bugti area of southwestern Balochistan province, killing two soldiers and wounding nine others, security officials said.

The convoy was on its routine patrol in the Sangsela area when the vehicle hit an explosive device planted on a roadside.

The injured had been shifted to a Sui medical facility. The FC personnel cordoned off the area and initiated an investigation into the incident.

Meanwhile,  police personnel in the Dera Murad Jamali area escaped a terror bid when a bomb planted by unknown men went off damaging their vehicle.

“Unidentified men had planted a bomb along the roadside and exploded it with remote control when the van of police patrolling party passed by the area,” police sources said.
