LAHORE, Feb 20: The University of Health Sciences (UHS) has declared the results of second professional MBBS annual examination 2011 on Monday, says a press release.

A total of 2,799 candidates of 20 affiliated medical colleges appeared in the exam held in December 2011, out of whom 1,419 were declared passed. The result of 136 candidates will be declared later on. The overall pass percentage remained 53.29.

Komal Mushtaq of the Quaid-i-Azam Medical College, Bahawalpur, got first position by securing 823/1000 marks.

Hammad Zafar of the Services Institute of Medical Sciences, Lahore, and Saira Niaz Khan of the Nishtar Medical College, Multan, bagged second and third position by securing 822/1000 and 811/1000 marks, respectively.

The failed candidates can submit their admission forms by March 12.

Supplementary examination will commence on March 31.
