LARKANA, Feb 23: A large number of Nadra employees held a demonstration on Thursday first at the mausoleum of Bhuttos in Garhi Khuda Bakhsh and then walked four kilometres to the camp office of President House in Naudero.

They sought regularisation of services of some 14,700 employees working for last 11 years and appealed to President and Chief Justice to intervene in the matter.

The rally was held under the banner of Nadra Employees’ Welfare Association and protestors hailed from Sukkur, Larkana, Shikarpur, Khairpur and Naushahro Feroze districts.

Protesters were led by Asim Abro, Aftab Qazi, Awais Memon.

Nadra employees carrying banners and placards raised slogans in favour of their demands.

Agitators staged a sit-in outside the camp office of President House and handed over a memorandum to Nisar Ahmed Bhutto, President PPP Naudero.

They also demanded reinstatement of 61 employees terminated by Nadra authorities and warned that further dismissals would not stop them from demanding regularisation of their services.
