A good argument Tahir and a very valid concern. instead of just a walk or a talk for women empowerment in the capitols here we have a critical example of holding back information on or about women that if published can help women cause in more than one ways. I couldn't have expected a better piece on a 'women's day'.

Indeed a very detailed article on Women Voter Registration. Still I am unable to understand why ECP is reluctant in sharing statics for Women's Votes in Pakistan. As it is obvious, females are never given equal representation in any of the department then why ECP is afraid.
ECP should realize sharing exact statics could help organizations and government what real picture is. This could result into fruitful efforts for bringing female voters on equal ground as compared to their male counterparts.

International Women's Day – A Proposal for Emancipation of Pakistani Women.

It is proposed that a resolution may be moved in ALL Provincial Assemblies and a legislation in National Assembly be enacted to ensure that Pakistani women are not disenfranchised in any constituency of general, by-elections and local body polls by a pact between all the candidates that they will not allow their women to cast votes.

A law can be passed that if women votes are not cast in any election, that candidate will not be declared a winner. In other words, no election will be valid without women votes.
