ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) on Thursday submitted a resolution in the National Assembly on the matter of missing persons.
The resolution proposed formation of a high-level committee comprising eight members from the upper and lower house of the parliament.
"The committee should be formed after consultation between the speaker national assembly, prime minister and the leader of oppositions," the resolution said.
The committee would submit its findings within a two-month time period after meeting families of the missing persons and officials of the security forces, it said.
The resolution has also called for proposing new laws to determine the role of security agencies and also expressed its concerns over the bad name earned by the security agencies in the country and abroad over the missing persons issue.—DawnNews
