NOWSHERA: Nowshera police on Sunday seized two trucks loaded with high quality rice taken from a storage facility of the World Food Programme at the Jalozai camp, meant for the internally displaced persons.

SHO Pabbi police station Jan Akbar along with a team seized 450 bags (25 tonnes) of rice, which was being taken to Punjab.

The police impounded the trucks (Peshawar Z-7629 and Peshawar K-1485) and arrested their drivers Murtaza of Khudraizi Pabbi and Javid of Wazir Gahri Pabbi. Police said FIR had been registered against the derivers.—Correspondent
