LAHORE, March 18: An Awami National Party (ANP) leader was admitted to a local hospital in Defence Housing Authority after he faced cardiac problem on Sunday morning.

Suhail Akhtar Malik, member of the ANP’s Central Executive Committee, was on a routine morning walk on the lawns of his house when he faced the cardiac problem.

The family took Mr Malik to National Hospital where doctors provided him with immediate treatment.

“Thanks to Almighty Allah for giving me a new life with the prayers of my friends, family and relatives. My health is now improving and doctors will hopefully discharge me from the hospital by Tuesday (tomorrow),” he told Dawn.
