LAHORE, March 18:  The Punjab government on Sunday transferred and posted five senior officials, also giving a mainstream post to an employee of the Auqaf department in violation of rules.

Additional Secretary of Energy Department Nadeem Mehboob has been transferred and posted as Khanewal DCO in place of Rashid Mehmood undergoing training.

OSD Khawaja Shumail has been posted as Board of Revenue Member.

Special Secretary Finance Imdad Bosal has been transferred and posted as Rawalpindi Commissioner in place of Capt Zahid Saeed (retired) undergoing training in the Staff College.

Arif Saeed has finally been given the post of Tevta Chairman lying vacant since the departure of Saeed Alvi to the federal government many months ago.

Pilac Director General Dr Arshad has been transferred and posted as head of the Public Private Partnership Company.

He has been replaced by Tahir Bukhari of the Auqaf Department. The post of the Pilac director general is a cadre post and under the rules of the government no employee of the Auqaf Department can be posted against it.
