PESHAWAR: Difa-i-Pakistan or Pakistan Defense Council Chairman, Maulana Samiul Haq on Monday said the people would strongly resist against possible restoration of Nato supply and urged the government to take all stakeholders on board before taking any decision on this important issue.

Addressing a party meeting, the veteran politician warned that if Nato supply line was restored, people from Karachi to Khyber would show strong resistance.

He alleged that arms and ammunition is being gathered in war torn Afghanistan in guise of Nato supply and feared that it would be used against us in Balochistan.

Haq demanded the government to stop drone attacks immediately.

He said that his party wants peace and stability in the country and the whole nation was united for defence of Pakistan.

The meeting was attended by former federal minister Ejazul Haq, Gen (retd) Hameed Gul and other religious-political leaders and office bearers of the Council.
