ISLAMABAD, March 21: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) on Wednesday again submitted the old five options for the land compensations which were rejected by the affected owners of sector H-16 and I-17 in September last year.
The options were submitted by the CDA legal adviser Mohammad Ramzan Chaudhry before the single member bench of IHC Justice Noorul Haq Qureshi during the hearing of the land compensation cases of more than 500 villagers of the sectors.
Last Friday, the court had warned the CDA to submit a solid solution for the compensation to the affected land owners in four days or be ready to face contempt of court proceedings.
CDA placed five options before the affected villagers of sectors H-16 and I-17 in order to solve the land compensation issue.
Raja Inam Amin Minhas, one of the counsels for the petitioners, said requested the court to start contempt of court proceedings against the CDA for not complying with the court orders.
Justice Qureshi directed the CDA authorities to submit details of the payment allegedly made to the influential investors and adjourned the hearing till March 27. — Malik Asad
