ISLAMABAD: The Contempt of court case hearing against the Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani has been adjourned till March 27 as the PM’s counsel Barrister Aitzaz Ahsan was unable to appear before the Supreme Court, DawnNews reported.

When the hearing began on Monday, Aitzaz Ahsan's assistant, Gohar told the court that Ahsan is ill due to which he may not appear in the court today.

In the last hearing, Gilani’s counsel Barrister Aitzaz Ahsan said that every person has the fundamental right to a fair process.

Earlier, Ahsan said that the judges who issued a show cause notice to Gilani were not eligible to hear the case.

He said that the bench of seven SC judges had already made up their minds against PM Gilani; Ahsan argued during the hearing that the bench could not continue hearing the case.

The bench, without passing any judgment on Ahsan’s allegations, made it clear in its remarks that their minds were “not already made up.”
