That is entirely incorrect. What do you think the people of Karachi spoke, Urdu? Urdu came to Pakistan post independence and the people of Sindh spoke Sindhi, Gujrati and English.

I fail to understand that all people who migrated to Pakistan were India are called Mohajirs or just people who settled in Karachi and came from a certain part of India are called Mohajirs ?

You are providing one answer yourself. No one in the other provinces you mention talks about throwing any body out. 'Earning and prospering in Karachi'? what about labouring and investing capital?

It is short sighted narrow attitude like this (I want the best room in the house, the rest of the family can go to hell) that aggravated the problems and served the purpose of vested interests. If you think on the lines of throwing somebody out, they will think about throwing you out. What we need in Pakistan and Karachi is to think in broader national interest, and collective gains. And find those who prevent us from doing that. Think about others too, not just yourself. Think.

when you go to punjab' everybody speaks, acts, behave and dominates as a punjabi which is as similar as in cities and villages of Other provinces and nobody have an objection of being such a regional racist in there places, so why is on earth peaple have a problem with majority of urdu speaking peaple in Karachi while the city have had an hounor to give refuge to person belong to anywhere in Pakistan or else….
I think its the time for let them speak, acts, behave and dominate in thier own region like others and throw the culprits out of that beautiful city of Pakistan whom are raising the issues of other regional race while living, earning and prospering in Karachi( Shame on them)…….

@Atan, for your kind information, there were almost no Sindhi speaking people in Karachi during 1947, so Mohajirs did not displace the people of Sindh. So, migration of Mohajirs is totally different than migration of Jews. The other ethnic people who came from Afghanistan and settled in Karachi, so they are not Pakistanis.

No this has nothing to do with that. Its simply demographics, the MQM has dominated the city and now its hold is being threatened and the result is what you see.

underlyiong this all is the inequity, very simlar to the the way mass migration of Jews in 1947 displaced the Palestinians. Here you have had mass migration of 'Mohajirs' in 1947 from India which displaced the people of Sindh. Result ethnic war, only in Pakistan its complicted by other groups who also have of recent times moved to the city like Pashtuns.
