ISLAMABAD: Top military commanders of the United States departed from Pakistan on Thursday after holding talks with Pakistan’s top military leaders, DawnNews reported.

On March 28, Gen James N. Mattis, Commander of United States’ Central Command (Centcom), and General John Allen, Commander of International Security Assistance Forces (Isaf) in Afghanistan, held separate meetings with Chief of Army Staff Gen Ashfaq Parvez Kayani and Chairman of Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (JCSC) Gen Khalid Shamim Wynne.

In the meeting, the officials discussed security matters, expanding cooperation on both sides of the borders and the army-led activities.

Gen James N. Mattis paid tribute to the sacrifices given by the Pakistan’s army.
