Karachi’s week of violence ends with shutdown

Life came to a standstill in Karachi on Saturday, as the local political parties called for a day of mourning in the aftermath of a week of violence.

Businesses remained suspended in all the major wholesale markets and trade areas of the metropolis. Meanwhile, public transport was also not available as the local transport union was on strike, making it difficult for people to reach work. – Photos by Agencies
