LAHORE: Provincial minister from Punjab, Dost Muhammad Khosa of the PML-N, submitted his resignation on Wednesday, whereas Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif has accepted his resignation and sent the summary of the resignation to the Governor of Punjab, DawnNews reported.

The former chief minister of Punjab had been facing pressure to resign from his cabinet post after the Lahore High Court (LHC) had charged him in the case pertaining to the kidnapping and murder of actress Sapna.

Actress Sapna Khan was the former wife of Dost Muhammad Khosa and daughter of Missal Khan.

Earlier in December, Khan accused Khosa of kidnapping and murdering Sapna while Khosa levelled the same allegation at his former wife’s family.
