Search efforts continue in Siachen

Bad weather hampered efforts to boost the search for 135 people buried in an avalanche at a Pakistani army camp, as a US team of high altitude specialists arrived in the country to help. It has been over three days since a huge wall of snow crashed into the remote Siachen Glacier base high in the mountains of Kashmir, and experts say there is little hope of finding survivors, though no bodies have been recovered yet. – Text and photos by AFP/ISPR

the Life and death is indeed in the hands of Allah s.w.t. but Pak Army can take further safety measures like sensitive devices attached to every member of the army on the round to monitor their movements like the ones attached to spurm whales to keep their track in the deep sea , installing cameras on the 100 meters high poles in the related vicinity covering them from snow and providing them better training and equipments for survival. May Allah s.w.t. save the lives of our lions.A'ameen.

It is very sad that we lost so many lives. May Allah bless their souls. But this is about time to talk to India and fix this issue of Siachen ASAP leaving everything aside. Stop fighting a aimless war. Make peace and economically develop your country. Reduce defense budget drastically and use that money on education sector

I pray for the well beign of our soldiers, as the time is passing the chances are very slip that anyone will be live (but Allah s.w.t has the power for miracles). I think winsdom and common sense needs to prevail, both countries need to check if it is worth getting so many soldiers killed for the sake of false pride? If anything use the same funding for education and microfinance projects which will improve the lives of poor people of both countries.

May Allah give their families patience and give those who have passed on the highest maqam in jannat. May we realise what sacrifice these soldiers make while we sleep in our cozy beds unaware these people are looking over our beloved Pakistan and its people.
