KARACHI: A fire broke out with an explosion in a storage tank at one of the installations in the Keamari oil terminal area on Tuesday.

No casualty was reported.

Soon after the explosion, KPT fire tenders rushed to the STS terminal and doused the blaze, officials said.

While police were not sure of what actually caused the blast, an official of the oil terminal area told Dawn that he suspected that the valve in the storage tank meant for the release of gas pressure was not working properly.
