QUETTA, April 11: Four militants were killed in a clash with security forces in Sangsilla area of Dera Bugti on Wednesday.

Sources said that a Frontier Corps convoy was going to Dear Bugti from Sui when armed men attacked it near Sangsilla, about 40 kilometres from Dera town.

The FC personnel in the convoy took positions and retuned fire. An ensuing gunbattle continued for an hour in which four militants were killed and some others injured.

“Four militants were killed in the clash with the FC in Sangsilla,” a spokesman for the Frontier Corps, told Dawn, adding that six militants had been arrested.

Security personnel took the bodies of militants to a hospital. Sources said the FC convoy did not suffer any casualty.—Saleem Shahid
