ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani has once again changed his legal team when his office appointed Irfan Qadir as Attorney General of Pakistan.

In addition, Yasin Abbasi has been appointed as Secretary Law while Maulvi Anwar-ul-Haq has been appointed as Consultant at the Aiwan-e-Sadr, his spokesman said.

The new Law Minister Farooq H. Naik on Thursday took charge of his ministry with the determination of playing an important role in expeditious disposal of pending cases.

Naik also held a meeting with Gilani to exchange views on important constitutional and legal matters.

The premier expressed the hope that the new minister would put his utmost efforts for the availability of speedy justice in the country.

Gilani also discuss with him appearance of his son before the Supreme Court on April 20 in a chemical import case.—APP/DawnNews
