KARACHI, April 14: An armed attack on youngsters playing cricket at a ground here on Saturday night left two dead and as many injured.

According to police, the boys aged between 20 and 25 were playing a night-match at the ground in Gulshan-i-Iqbal’s Block-18 area when two gunmen in a car opened fire on them from outside the ground and escaped.

They were taken to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital where two of them died during treatment.

Police sources said the victims were activists, but the authorities were hesitant to confirm their political association.
