Saba Ansari proved that she has developed a strong grasp of the technical undertakings of hair and make-up for fashion week. She takes directions well, is compliant and with the help of backstage designers she created simple yet stylish looks for models. As far as hair and make-up for runways is concerned, Saba Ansari has definitely arrived.

FPW also brought out the difference between a hair and make-up artist (Saba) and a stylist (as Ayaz Anis, Rana and Maha Burney were for Sanam Chaudhri). All designers need individual stylists to create trend-setting ‘looks’ for them. One has seen the trend emerge in Lahore as well since Asmaa Mumtaz styled the look for Karma’s bridal collection.—AHI
