MINGORA, April 14: Two children were killed and 29 others were injured in two road accidents in Swat district on Saturday.

Police said a family was going to Detpanai from Balasur village in Matta tehsil in a Datsun pick-up when the driver lost control over the steering. As a result, the vehicle plunged into a deep ravine, killing a girl, Rukhsana, and a boy Hazrat Nabi.

Sixteen other members of the family, including women and children, were injured in the incident. They were shifted to the Matta civil hospital.

In another incident, a passenger coach collided with a car near Ghaligay in the Barikot tehsil, injuring 13 people, including women and children.

WOMAN HANGED: A woman was hanged to death in an honour-related incident allegedly by her brother-in-law with the connivance of his wife and mother in the Shahdherai area of Kabal tehsil, police said on Saturday. They said the man, his wife and mother hanged the woman in their house. —Correspondent
