LAHORE, April 17: Robbers shot at and injured a youth and looted cash and valuables from him in Green Town police limits on Tuesday.

Two armed men approached Sumair and looted Rs50,000 in cash and a cell phone. They also injured him when he put up resistance. The injured was admitted to hospital.

Two robbers looted Rs300,000 and a cell phone from Adnan in Nawankot police limits while as many armed men deprived Awais of Rs300,000 and a cell phone in Yakki Gate police limits.

Two gun-toting men stopped the family of Aamir Rehman in E-Block of Model Town and deprived them of cash and cell phones.

Two robbers snatched Rs100,000 and a cell phone from Shoaib in Harbanspura police limits, while as many armed men deprived the family of Ashraf of cash and valuables worth Rs600,000.Two robbers deprived Ajmal of Rs10,000, a cell phone and a motorcycle in Factory Area police limits.

Some robbers took away cash and valuables worth Rs700,000 from the house of Tanveer in Green Town police limits.

Accidents: Two persons, including a woman, were killed and three others were injured in three road accidents in the city on Tuesday.

A man in his 60s died at a hospital shortly after he was hit by a vehicle on McLeod Road.

Naulakha police said Sadiq was crossing the road at the time of the incident. He was taken to Mayo Hospital where he succumbed to his wounds.

Chuhng police said Bashiran was hit and killed by a vehicle in Mohlanwal.

Three people were injured in a road accident involving two vehicles on Canal Road near Doctors Hospital.

Rescue 1122 said a van and a car collided with each other and left Niaz, 35, Zahid, 83, and Shahid Saleem, 32, injured. The injured were admitted to Jinnah Hospital.

FIRE: A fire broke out in a room of the house of Zafar Younas at Samanabad Mor on Tuesday, burning down valuables.

Rescue 1122 said a short circuit was thought to be the cause of blaze.
