KARAK, April 17: Unidentified robbers looted a house in Taraki Banda at gunpoint in the limits of Sabirabad police station on Monday night.

According to police, the robbers entered the house of Ajab Noor and decamped with 10 tolas gold, Rs50,000 cash, one rifle and one pistol after making the inmates hostages.

The owner of the house lodged an FIR with Sabirabad police station and brought sniffer dogs to trace the robbers. Meanwhile, the provincial minister for prisons has directed Karak jail authorities to beef up security after the Bannu jailbreak incident. —Correspondent
