the last 737-200 was produced in 1988 i.e 25 years ago. I doubt that such an old place would be allowed to fly anywhere except Pakistan.

May, Allah bless all and rest their soul in peace. I guess, the civil aviation authorities need to force more strict maintenance procedures regularly. A good standard is important for the safety of passengers.

Tragic. Utter criminal negligence by air traffic control. Why on earth the plane was cleared to take that flight path. The traffic control must have known of the bad weather around the lending city, that's part of their job. The plane should have never been allowed to take off from Karachi, then in the air it could have been re-routed. I was flying from Philadelphia to Houston a few years ago. The weather was perfect in the Philadelphia area but plane was delayed for 4 hrs. because a heavy thunder storm was expected in Houston around the original lending time.

No one has looked into the human aspects of this tragedy. This airplane was declared non-airworthy? Did anyone question the training of the pilots? Were they adequately trained? Were they even licensed to fly this plane? Well, bigger criminal cases are ahead of this minor tragedy so don't expect too much...we are living in a criminal land

Bangladesh people was shocked to hear this news yesterday and there is no words to express the sorrow or to console the families of the people who lost their lives in this tragic accident. Surely it was an accident. Surely greed was not a factor here. If the plane was too old, then, who gave permission for the plane to fly? I suppose we will never know and soon, very soon this will become a statistic, a footnote, and we will move on to the next story....to the next event....to the next accident.
