KARACHI, April 21: A three-day anti-polio drive across Sindh will begin on Monday.

According to Dr Mazhar Khamisani of the Expanded Programme on Immunisation (EPI), Sindh, polio drops would be administered to over 7.4 million children under the age of five years during the fresh round. He said more than 21,000 polio teams had been formed to cover the entire province.

In Karachi alone, over 2.2 million children would be administered anti-polio drops, he said, and appealed to parents of under-five children to cooperate with the polio teams and help eradicate the disease from the province.—PPI
