Federal government and Civil Aviation Authority (Pakistan) are corrupt, incompetant and should be held accountable for Air Blue/Bhoja air disasters and loss of life. They have blood on their hands.

I think this is high time to establish an effective and lasting accountability system that will provide direction and focus to institutions such as CAA, rather than setting up new competitive bodies, diluting the original problem. If you ask me how? Consider, starting with, "voting the right candidate in the office" for once.

what else Pakistan we have excelled in every field….when will we wake up……..our children are dying, our parents are crying…..what good is all the prayers & worshipping ALLAH , …..ALLAH se darao nahin……ALLah se daro…….For god's sake get rid of corruption & all the favouritsm….all the top notch people of CAA, airline & the maintenance personal should be behind bars no questions about that.

If we want merit based appointments then we need to: (i) not go the sifarish route to get our friends and family into positions they are not qualified to hold; (ii) make it clear to politicians and bureaucrats that non-merit appointments and other actions resulting in losses like this will have consequences like losing their jobs or their seats in the next election. All that is needed is for our public to stand up and demand transparent accountability in all cases no matter who is implicated. Maybe in this case they will as everyone is impacted equally – the people with connections and money also need to travel on the same planes as the ones that don't have much of either.

i recently travelled from toronto to khi via PIA….my overall experience wasnt too bad to complain but would like to share a few observations during the long 14 hr flight. all the attendants were from a CERTAIN class and shared the same political views (as i culd almost hear all the conversations carried out between them…) the female attendant (there was only one in the economy class was better off as a good servant in someones house rather than travelling on an international route )….its sad to see that OUR PIA has deteriorated so much in the past couple of months …….the engines, the pilots , the crew , the eqipment at the airport, control tower ppl …etc…..are all on a decline ……i just hope n pray that Allah save PAKISTAN ……………

My heart goes to the families who lost the loved ones in this tragedy. It is unfortunate that the very unqualified people collecting salaries (because they know people in authority) while the qualified are either jobless or under employed. Sad dilema that Pakistan has faced for years.
