LAHORE, April 27: A rickshaw driver allegedly strangled his wife over a petty family matter in Islampura on Friday.
Quoting relatives of Urooj, 25, the police said Shahid Ali would torture his wife over petty issues. On Friday, he strangled Urooj, a mother of one-year-old baby, following a quarrel.
The police arrested Shahid and lodged an FIR against him on the complaint of his wife’s relative Maqsood. The police said multiple torture marks were found on Urooj’s body which had been sent for autopsy. — Staff Reporter
