LAHORE, April 28: Punjab PPP President Imtiaz Safdar Warraich says lawyers will be consulted for filing a reference against the Supreme Court judges who, what he said, had violated the Constitution by convicting the prime minister.

Speaking at a press conference here on Saturday, he said the judges had violated the constitution by ordering the prime minister to write to Swiss authorities for reopening cases against an elected head of state who enjoyed immunity under Article 248 of the Basic Law.

He said the party would consult legal minds for filing a reference against the judges with the Supreme Judicial Council.
