KU mathematics department renamed

KARACHI, April 29: The academic council of the University of Karachi has allowed changing the name of the mathematics department as the ‘department of mathematical sciences’, according to an announcement made here on Sunday.

A spokesman for the university said that the department had been renamed in accordance with the recommendation of the Board of Faculty of Sciences.—APP
