KARACHI: Pakistan People's Party's leader and member Sindh assembly Sharjeel Inam Memon Tuesday said that Pakisan Muslim League -Nawaz (PML-N) was making hue and cry about long march as part of its strategy for elections.
"If they stage a long march, PPP would hold a bigger one and besiege Raiwand, " Memon said during a press conference at Sindh Secretariat.
He said, "according to newspapers reports PML-N was accused of Rs 8.6 billion corruption, while PML-N Chief was governing the 63% population of the country."
Moreover Memon said that Sharif Brothers wanted to push country back to the era of 1990s.
"Had the Sharif Brothers been courageous, they would have also launched a long march against Musharraf," he added.
PPP will strongly respond if the PML-N goes for such move and besiege Raiwand in Lahore, he warned.
Memon's statements came after PML-N announced on Monday that it would launch a ‘protest movement’ against the government if Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani refuses to step down from his office after his conviction in the contempt of court case.
