HYDERABAD, May 1: Sindh Minister for Fisheries Zahid Ali Bhurgari has said that Pakistan People’s Party has always struggled for the rights of workers and its governments have not only protected their rights but provided jobs to thousands of the jobless youth.

Mr Bhurgari who is also president of the Hyderabad chapter of the PPP was addressing a rally taken out by the People’s Labour Bureau to mark the May Day here on Tuesday.

The workers of Hyderabad observed May Day with traditional zeal to commemorate sacrifices of the workers of Chicago.

Our correspondent from Sukkur adds: A number of rallies were taken out in connection with May Day in Sukkur, Ghotki and Jacobabad. A joint rally was taken out in Sukkur by Wapda union and Pakistan Workers’ Federation.
