KARACHI, May 2: A recently notified list of 34 people wanted to police for their involvement in heinous crimes carried some known names from Lyari, including Noor Mohammad alias Baba Ladla and Uzair Jan Baloch, it emerged on Wednesday.

The Sindh government notification obtained by Dawn carried a reward of Rs3 million for the informer assisting police in the arrest of Noor Mohammad alias Baba Ladla and Rs2 million for anyone who provided information leading to the arrest of Uzair Baloch.

According to the notification, the informers’ identity will not be disclosed. They will receive the reward mentioned against each name in the list.

Those providing information leading to the arrest of Khan Zaman Mehsud and Sher Zaman Mehsud will receive Rs2.5 million each; Zubair Mehsud (Rs2 million); Rashid alias Rekha (Rs1.5 million); Umar Kachhi, Fida Mehsud and Tayyeb Mehsud (Rs1 million each).

According to the notification dated April 25, the information can be provided to the nearest police station or a police officer.

A reward of Rs0.5 million will be given to informers assisting police in the arrest of 14 other criminals: Fahim, Shakeel, Tariq, Sheraz alias Comrade, Zahid alias Ladla, Taj Muhammad alias Taju, Abdul Jabbar alias Jhengo, Zafar alias Langra, Ghaffar alias Mama, Sajid Khatri, Faisal Pathan, Shafi Pathan, Asif Niazi, Sohail alias Dada, Farhan alias Mota, Shaid alias Mix Pati, Fahad alias Pathan, Ramzan alias Ramzani, Younus alias Madi, Rashid Bangali, Ayaz Zohri, Mullah Nisar, Rashid and Sikander alias Siko.
