FAISALABAD: The Pakistan Textile Exporters Association (PTEA) has hailed the decision of five-day gas supply to textile industry.

In a statement issued here on Thursday, Rana Arif Tauseef, Chairman Pakistan textile Exporters Association (PTEA) said that the textile industry was playing an important role in the country's export and there was a strong need to address the issues being faced by it and to enhance value added exports of textile products.

He appreciated the initiative taken by the government in load management of gas for industrial sector and said the government had rightly devised formula for distribution of available gas for industry through rotation.

“In this manner the industrial sector would be able to plan its weekly production schedule”, he said.

The PTEA Chairman vowed to defend strict implementation of this newly announced load management schedule of gas and said that they would not allow anyone to sabotage the new gas load management scheme.

He also appreciated that with the preplanned gas load management scheme, they would be able to honour their commitments with their foreign buyers and fulfill their obligations for in time completion and delivery of export orders
