MURREE: Minister for Information and Broadcasting Qamar Zaman Kaira on Saturday said that Pakistan People's Party (PPP) does not need interpretation of Sharif brothers and Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan in the decision of Supreme Court in the prime minister's contempt case.
Speaking to media representatives after inaugurating 15th conference on Ophthalmology, he said “we only accept interpretation of the public and the PPP is enjoying full support and mandate of them.”
The minister said that all the political allies have reposed full confidence on Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani.
He advised Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) to do politics on the real issues being faced by the country rather than influencing the courts.
The minister demanded Sharif brothers to hold local bodies’ election following the decision of the court.
He said it is very strange to demand resignation from an elected prime.
“The real representatives of public are in the parliament and we have a majority in both the houses,” the minister added.
Those giving the lesson of decency should also adopt decent attitude and give answer to public regarding the National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO), he said.
The minister said the opposition leader in NA wants to see 80s era but it is 2012 and people of Pakistan now have the actual right to decide about their fate.
