LAHORE, May 8: The City District Government of Lahore plans to launch the Zimadar Shehri (responsible citizens) project under the e-governance initiative in the provincial capital.
“Under this project, a computerised helpline will be set up where citizens can lodge their complaints relating to any department of the CDGL,” Lahore District Coordination Officer Noorul Amin Mengal said during a meeting on the e-governance project at Town Hall on Tuesday.
He said citizens under this project could get their complaints relating to adulteration, price hike, wedding ceremonies, land grabbers, repair/maintenance of roads and other civic issues registered with the helpline. Similarly, people could receive a prompt feedback/response from the quarters concerned on their complaints. He said a strategy was being evolved to expand network of helpline up to union council level to provide relief to people at grassroots. He said names of complainants would be kept secret.
AUCTION: The Lahore Development Authority will sell out 12 public utility sites as well as 19 residential and 22 commercial sites at Sabzazar, Johar Town, Mustafa Town and other schemes through an open auction at LDA Community Centre, 239-A New Muslim Town, on Wednesday (today).
According to a press release, LDA will auction off eight school sites at Abdalian Society, Chamber of Commerce Society, Green Forts, Muslim Nagar, River View Cooperative Housing Society and Engineering University Scheme. Three dispensary sites located at Chamber of Commerce Society, River View Cooperative Housing Society and Engineering University Scheme will also be sold out through open an bidding.
PROMOTION: The LDA administration on Tuesday notified promotion of seven assistants (BS-14) to the rank of staff officers (BS-16) and three sub-engineers of BS-11 to BS-16.
