Wahab Jaffer is an extraordinary artist. He knows art imitates life. What a good artist does is that, through his/her work, s/he replaces the word ‘imitate’ with ‘reflect’. Therefore when it comes to quality artists, art reflects life, sometimes more candidly than life itself. In Jaffer’s paintings and drawings life can be felt in a very subtle manner, because it is in parts and not in totality of his subject(s) that he tries to convey his message.–Text by Peerzada Salman
