LAHORE, May 14: Organised Crime Police (CIA) claim to have arrested proclaimed offender Riaz alias Raja involved in daocities, robberies and vehicle theft.

The Punjab government had fixed a head money of Rs400,000 for the arrest of Riaz alias Raja.

According to a handout issued on Monday, a police team constituted by CIA SP Liaqat Ali Malik collected particulars of Riaz of House No 3, Islam Building, Dev Samaj Road, Islampura, and managed to arrest him. The name of the PO has already been registered in the Black Book. He had already been sent to jail in dacoity, robbery and illegal weapon cases in Shalimar and Margla police stations of Islamabad.

He is a taxi driver and has a criminal mind. He was declared PO in 13 cases registered with the police of Factory Area, Lytton Road, Nishtar Colony, Defence, Liaqatabad, Millat Park and Shahdara Town.

TRANSFERRED: Inspector General of Police Habibur Rehman has transferred and posted two police officers.

According to a notification, Punjab Research and Development Deputy Director Faisal Ali Raja has been transferred and posted AIG Career Planning, Punjab Police Headquarters. AIG Career Planning Kamran Adil has been transferred and posted Punjab Elite Police Force Deputy Director against an existing vacancy.
