LAHORE, May 15: The All Pakistan Muslim League has asked the Election Commission to carry out rechecking of voters lists to check bogus votes.

According to APML spokesperson Asia Ishaq, at the time of census the commission had engaged political parties in the preparation of voters’ lists. “The parties manoeuvered and got entered bogus votes,” she said, adding the EC should carry out rechecking of the lists before the 2013 elections.

She said the country’s economy was on the verge of collapse and this was due to policies of the PPP-led government. — Staff Reporter
