Renewal of arms licences

NADRA had issued a notification in newspapers requiring surrendering of valid arms licences and their renewal by Nadra after following the new procedure and payment of specified fees.

The notification was challenged in the High Court on legal grounds and was suspended. The matter is of public interest.
