QUETTA, May 19: The chief jail warden of the Quetta District Prison was shot dead by unidentified men on Saturday, police sources said.
Imtiaz Rasool was going home from his office when armed men on a motorcycle opened fire on him near the prison’s gate, leaving him seriously injured. He was taken to the civil hospital where he died.The assailants fled the scene after the crime.
The cause of the killing could not be immediately ascertained.—Staff Correspondent
