KARACHI: A small helicopter belonging to the Pakistani military went missing on Wednesday near Gujranwala in Punjab, military sources told DawnNews.

According to the sources, the Army aviation helicopter was flying over the Chenab river near Wazirabad area when it went missing. Two people — a pilot and a trainee pilot — were reported to be on board the copter being used for training purposes.

Sources further said that a search operation had been initiated to recover the aircraft and the pilots.
