HYDERABAD: Commissioner Hyderabad Division Ahmed Bux Narejo has called upon the management of Oil and Gas Development Corporation Ltd (OGDCL) to carry out development in the respective areas Taluka Hyderabad Rural under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) so that the people could get maximum facilities at their nearest.

Taluka Hyderabad Rural has a significant contribution in oil exploration and the management of OGDCL is responsible to develop the area by launching schemes in different sectors with object to uplift the area and improve the socio economic condition of common people of the Taluka, the Commissioner said.

He expressed these remarks while addressing the meetings with public representatives and the officers of OGDCL Oil Field Tando Alam here on Thursday.

The Commissioner opined that OGDCL should spent one of the portions of its profit for the welfare of the people as the corporation is also responsible for the uplift and socio economic improvement of the area in the area from where it exploring oil and gas.

The Regional Manager OGDCL Ashraf Pathan informed the Commissioner that a primary school has been established in Tando Alam Oil Field and the officers of the departments concerned have been approached to activate this school.

Similarly, he informed that work on upgrading the Tando Jam Mono-Technical is also in progress while survey in affiliated villages of the field has also been completed for gas supply and the release of funds in this respect are awaited.

The Commissioner asked the Regional Manager to ensure the release of funds for these schemes so that after completion, the people of the area could enjoy these facilities.

The notable of the area Hakim Khoso emphasized the need of giving more attention on public oriented welfare projects. He on the occasion informed about the deteriorating condition of the schools and dispensaries of Tando Alam, Kunnar and Gobi Oil and Gas Fields and called upon the officers of OGDCL to initiate immediate steps for repair and maintenance of these schools and dispensaries.

The Commissioner asked the officers concerned to prepare the recommendations of the Member National Assembly and the Deputy Commissioner Hyderabad and submit the same to the officers of the departments concerned for implementation of these recommendations.
