Two policemen killed, one hurt in Quetta firing

QUETTA: At least two policemen were killed and another sustained injuries when armed men ambushed them here in the Wali Jaith area of the city on Monday.

Police officials said that unknown armed men riding bike opened indiscriminate fire at a police van in the precincts of New Sariab police station, killing an officer on the spot and leaving two others critically injured.

Later, police officer ASI Abdul Qayum died while he was being transported to the hospital. The condition of the other injured policemen was also stated to be critical.
